This year's Cannes Corporate TV and Media awards ceremony revealed another strong showing by UK brands and producers.

Last week's Cannes Corporate TV and Media awards ceremony revealed another strong showing by UK brands and producers.

Deloitte Global's "Dilemma Season Two," produced by We Are Tilt, was the single most decorated brand film production, repeating the success of Season One in past years. It won gold for Informational Films and Explanatory Videos, silver for Internal Communication, and three Black Dolphins for Best Storytelling, Best Cast/On-Camera Talent and Best Animation, Graphics and Visual Effects.

Producers Mediazoo and RD Content won two golds each, while The Edge, Capisco, Acumen International Media were also gold winners.

Among brands, HSBC was awarded three Dolphins across three projects. They took the top two places in Corporate Social Responsibility, with gold for "In Sickness and In Health: The Romance Scam" and silver for "East to West". A further silver for "The Art of Connection" in Art, Music and Culture completed the set.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), which is headquartered in London, had a strong showing with its production partner Visualise, winning gold for Interactive Videos with "Chornobyl – Inside the New Safe Confinement" and two Silver Dolphins for "Fixing Chornobyl."

This year, the UK and Germany vied for top spot as the most successful nations. UK producers collected the most awards of all types at 36, nine more than Germany. But our German friends topped the golds table with 10, one more than the UK.

Were there more German entries, giving UK producers a higher strike rate? We don't know, but the data continues the trend we have written about before where UK producers are the ones to beat.

What next?

With the Cannes results now out, the only major awards yet to be announced in 2026 are the EVCOM London Film awards, set for 27 November.  It's been a compelling year as creative producers adapted to AI-generated video, integrating AI tools into production workflows while retaining human authenticity in scripting and creative approach.

Urgent deadlines for the Brand Film Awards (early bird rate 8th October) and Lens (final deadline 9th October) are upon us. If you could do with a hand with your entry, click here and we'll do the rest.
