This poignant film was commissioned in order to raise awareness about some of the crimes that children and young people can become involved in, including some of the signs of child exploitation. As with other award-winning films made for Leicestershire Police, this film was produced by Affixxius Films.

Child Criminal Exploitation (CCE) describes the exploitation or coercion of children or young people to commit crimes.

The film focuses on four children who are reluctantly caught up in criminality, having been exploited by older people. The film uses the idea of ‘listening’ to demonstrate how signs can be missed. Even though the children are explicitly explaining the situation to them, the adults fail to listen to or notice the information that is right in front of them.

The film has gained 4.9 million views (as of March 2022). It has been adopted by other police forces and has been shown in schools as part of teacher training on the subject of CCE.
